Our whole family booked a private tour to the Twelve Apostles. Our guide, Leo, was very experienced. There was a pregnant woman in our group, and he thoughtfully helped us find suitable restrooms along the way. He even spotted wild koalas for us. Since it was a public holiday, there were big crowds and parking was difficult, but Leo handled everything efficiently, allowing us to enter attractions quickly and save waiting time.

The morning sun still carried a hint of coolness as our small group tour officially began. Today’s guide was Leo—a wonderful leader who not only knew every bend of the Great Ocean Road but also knew how to warm up the journey with stories and laughter.

Since the group was small, it felt even more relaxed, like traveling with friends—we chatted, took photos, and even shared snacks with each other. Along the winding coastal road, Leo led us past the endless Southern Ocean, where waves crashed against the cliffs, their white crests greeting us like old friends.

We stopped at several lookouts along the way—Loch Ard Gorge, London Arch—each as stunning as a postcard. Leo thoughtfully helped us take plenty of full-group photos, our smiles shining even brighter than the scenery.

Finally, we reached the highlight of the trip—the Twelve Apostles. Standing at the cliff’s edge, we looked down at the towering limestone pillars rising silently from the sea, as if they had been guarding this coastline for centuries. The sea breeze was strong, but our hearts felt calm, wishing only to linger a little longer and etch the grandeur before us into memory.

On the way back, the sunset painted the ocean gold while cheerful music played in the van. We chatted and laughed until, almost without noticing, we were back in the city.

It was a short yet heartwarming journey—filled with breathtaking landscapes and familiar laughter. The waves and winds of the Great Ocean Road, together with Leo’s stories, will remain a beautiful memory of our travels.

Our family of 4 visited our relatives in Australia from the US and had the chance to join the tour led by Leon in early January 2025.

The entire tour was very relaxing and pleasant.
We went through the entire Great Ocean Road, from Melbourne to Warrnambool, and stayed there for one night. Leon’s company suggested this hotel/resort called Deep Blue Hotel and Hot Springs..The resort was great, very clean and quite luxurious.. Because of this one-night stay, we got the chance to stop by many attractions without being rushed or skipping some spots.. I personally like this kind of arrangement much better than the 1-day round trip from Melbourne. Leo also took us to some less well-known spots where you don’t have to wait in line with most of the tourists, taking turns to take pictures, but you can take your time, walking around the attractions, and enjoy the beautiful scenery slowly.
 

On the 3rd day, we started with the train ride at the Puffing Billy Railway before heading to Phillip Island and the Maru Koalo Park. Leo’s advice helped us take some memorable pictures.

The highlight of the day was definitely seeing those cute penguins coming home at Penguin Parade.. Leon’s arrangement again helped us in saving some time while we still manage to visit all the places.

Overall, we were all very satisfied with Leo’s arrangements. He is a bright person with tons of experience being a tour guide who knows a lot of tricky details that can save you the hassles, and bring you lots of fun.

I highly recommend Leo as your tour guide in Melbourne.
